Characteristics

They appear in the Cave at the Linebeck Trading Company and the Goron Hamlet.

A Link Between Worlds

Nomenclature
According to the Similar Similar Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, the name Like Like is derived from an ancient Hyrulean proverb, "Shield-eaters and world leaders take many likes alike." In the Japanese version, it comes from the Japanese maxim 蓼食う虫も好き好き ( Tade kū mushi mo sukizuki ), which roughly means "each to their own tastes." Since shield (たて) and water-pepper (たで) are very like in spelling, the Similar Like is a reference to the maxim, corrupting "water-pepper" to "shield."[9]
